Health & Wellbeing Events Across Havering North PCN

As part of our proactive outreach programme, we run a variety of health and wellbeing events at community venues across the Havering North area. These sessions offer practical, easy‑to‑use guidance to support healthier living and are open to all patients registered with any of our 14 GP practices. Each event is delivered by members of our multidisciplinary team, which may include Health & Wellbeing Coaches, Dietitians, Social Prescribers, other specialist professionals.

Our aim is to make health advice accessible, engaging, and relevant to everyday life—helping you take positive steps toward better wellbeing!

Women's Health & Wellbeing Day - Empowering Women Through Knowledge and Support

Date: Saturday 9th May 2026
We were pleased to deliver an event addressed to female patient in our PCN, aiming to learn practical, women-centric tips, find out about available resources, and access support to continue a wellness journey, including:
  • Hormonal & Bone Health Nutrition: Discover how to create a balanced diet tailored to women’s health, focusing on vital nutrients to support hormonal balance and bone density.
  • Active Living for Women: Learn sustainable physical activities that support cardiovascular health, pelvic floor strength, and joint mobility.
  • Managing Women's Health Conditions: Understand practical and clinical strategies for managing weight, stress, and risk factors associated with conditions such as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), Endometriosis, and Menopause.
  • Community & Digital Empowerment: Learn how to access local women's health services, community groups, and online health resources.

Healthy Lifestyle & Prevention event at MyPlace

Our Healthy Lifestyle & Prevention event at MyPlace, Romford, was well attended and very positively received, with patients telling us they enjoyed the practical tips, friendly atmosphere, and the chance to learn more about the support available through their GP practice.

What Patients Gained from Our Recent Event

Our latest Healthy Lifestyle & Prevention session gave patients the opportunity to explore practical ways to improve their long-term wellbeing. Led by our Health & Wellbeing Coaches and Dietitians, the session covered:

  • How to build a balanced diet, manage portion sizes, and choose nutrient-rich foods
  • Simple physical activities suitable for all fitness levels
  • Strategies for weight management and reducing risks of chronic conditions like diabetes and heart disease
  • Practical tips and resources to support healthier daily habits
